MARCO M. WADE Sr.

Marco M. Wade, Sr., a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Thursday October 30, 2008 at St. John's Riverside Hospital. He was 56 years old. He was born on September 13, 1952 to Walter and Virginia Myers Wade in Welch, West Virginia. He attended schools in West Virginia and Yonkers. Mr. Wade was a mechanic for the Municipal Housing Authority in Yonkers for 27 years prior to his death. He was a fitness enthusiast and a longtime member of Bally's Total Fitness in Yonkers. On February 14, 1984, he married his loving wife, Diane West(YPD) in New York City. Diane survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Virginia Wade of Yonkers, a daughter Elise West of Waldorf, Md., two brothers, Walter and John Henry Wade both of Yonkers and four sisters, Phyllis Ellis of Ft. Wayne, In., Brenda Smith and Sharon Fraiser, both of Yonkers, and Andrea Wade of New York City. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Mychael Avi and Chandler Bell and a grandson, Sion G. Bell and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, Marco M. Wade, Jr. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
