Margaret DePonto Obituary

Margaret M. DePonto, 72, of Croton-on-Hudson and formerly of Yonkers, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband of 51 years, Danny. Born on February 13, 1935 in Yonkers, she was the daughter of James and Mary Ducey Howley. She had been employed by the City of Yonkers Weights and Measures and was a former member of the 7th Ward Democratic Party and St. Bartholomew's Church, Yonkers. On April 25, 1954 at St. Bartholomew's Church, she married Donato "Danny" DePonto, who died on January 31, 2005. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Jean) DePonto, Gail (John) Beck and Diane (Frank) Oringer; sister, Rita Wind; brother-in-law, Thomas Brink; grandchildren, Daniel DePonto, Dawn Mastrangelo, Kimberly and John D. Beck, Benjamin, Nicholas and Harrison Oringer; and great-grandchildren, Mia and Makayla Jean Mastrangelo. She was predeceased by her siblings, William and Thomas Howley, and Rose Brink. Calling hours Thursday from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Jct. Funeral Mass on Friday at Blessed Kateri Church.
