MARTHA MARGULIS

Martha Margulis, accomplished artist whose work has been exhibited in New York City, Houston, San Diego, Paris, France and Osaka, Japan. Longtime Harrison resident died after a brief illness. She is survived by her loving husband Melvin and three daughters Caryn Coran and Shari Lifson, both of Westchester and Beth Margulis Frantzen of the Netherlands. She is also survived by her sister Doris McCann of Colorado and four grandchildren Jessica, Lianna, Ezra and Osger. Mrs. Margulis was a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.F.A. She also studied at Columbia University with Rudolph Baranik, and in the 1980's she was a founding member of the Pindar Gallery in New York City. Funeral service will be held Sunday at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home at 11 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hawthorne.
