MARY SKINNER Obituary

Mary R. "Mimi" Skinner of Peekskill passed away on January 1, 2007 at the age of 84. Mrs. Skinner was born in Peekskill on November 7, 1922 to Domenico and Jennie Etri Bertoline. On November 16, 1947, she married George R. Skinner, Jr. at Greymoor in Garrison, NY. Mary was a homemaker. Locally she was a communicant of the Assumption Church and a member of the Christopher Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid theater goer and music lover. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her four children Sharon Skinner of Peekskill, NY, George R. (Doreen) Skinner, III of Worcester, MA, Jeffrey Skinner of Wappinger Falls, NY and Donna (Matthew) Vourliotis of Garrsion, NY. Also survived by her sister Yolanda "Vi" Mastrianna of Peekskill, fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Skinner was predeceased by her husband George R. Skinner, Jr. and a grandson Louis Panzanaro, III. Also predeceased by two sisters, Lena Touhey and Mildred Goderre, and four brothers, Benjamin Bertoline, Angelo Bertoline, Nicholas Bertoline and Joseph Bertoline. Calling hours are Wednesday 7-9 pm and Thursday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass is Friday 10 am, at the Assumption Church. Interment to follow at the Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Louis Panzanaro, III Scholarship Fund, c/o CAMP, Inc., 55 Bank St., Peekskill, NY 10566 JOSEPH F.
