PATRICK BRINI Obituary

Patrick Brini of New City, age 91, passed away on February 3, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born June 3, 1917 in Ponza, Italy to the late Romeo and Elizabeth Brini. Patrick achieved the "American Dream". Beginning in life with very little, his hard work and perseverance allowed him to accomplish his goals. He was an auto mechanic and owned a service station in Ozone Park, Queens. He retired in 1982. His greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years Catherine Brini of New City; his loving children Cathy Altobello of New City, MaryAnn Brini of Wesley Chapel, FL, Joann Brini of New City; his cherished granddaughter Christina and her husband Marco Platania of Macungie, PA; his sisters Helen Cicciu of Blauvelt, Vera Wilson of Brentwood, NY, and Louise Fazzolai of Vineland, NJ. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Louis and sisters Anna and Mary. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 5, 2009 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday February 6, 2009 at 11:30AM at St. Augustine's Church, New City. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. MICHAEL J.
