Raymond Bash Obituary

Bash, Raymond

Raymond Bash, a long time resident of Nyack passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 17, 2017. He was born in the Bronx on June 9, 1932 to Frieda and Harold Bash. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. Ray had a career in printing, in Rockland County politics and the restaurant business. He was the face of Louie's On The Avenue for many years.

Ray is survived by Arlene Aaront, his children, Holly Bash and Steven Bash and his grandchildren, Alex and Eryka.

Ray was an accomplished photographer, loved computing and design, had a flair for cooking and gardening. He loved a good round of golf with great friends and looked forward to the 19th hole.

There will be a small private memorial for his family and close friends at a time still to be determined.

We are very, very sorry to learn of Ray's passing. Ray willalways be remembered as a very gracious gentleman. Being a staunch Republican and active in Rockland County Politics in the 60's, I remember Ray when he was appointed Clerk to The First Legislature of Rockland County. We also enjoyed many times of good fellowship at Louie's on the Avenue. Our most sincere blessings are with The Bash Family during this time. Ed & Suzanne Grant
