Dear Jessica,
I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Sounds like he lived a full life. I wish I could have known Richard. Tennis is my lifelong passion too. Please share my sympathies with Robert and the rest of your family.

While I never met Dick, Iris Elfenbein spoke highly of Mimi and Dick. Iris shared memories of Dick as the father of their daughters Melissa and Jessica, and their grandchildren. Iris remains one of my special professional friends. We worked together for many good years in Washington D.C. and beyond.

There is no sadness in a life well lived and loved. Our friend Dick knew exactly how to squeeze out the best and funniest moments of each day. We loved seeing life through his eyes. He will be missed.

David and I share in your grief for the loss of our beloved first cousin and intellect extraordinaire. A visit to New York was not complete if we didn't connect with Dick and Mimi. We will love and miss him forever.

The McGrath-McDonough clan -- to a one -- adored Dick and his humorous stories that often had a deeper message as well. We ourselves are saddened, so we know how sad the family must be.

Dick was the historian of the family. Im so glad i had a chance to sit down with him and pick his brain about where our family came from and create a family tree. He lived an awesome life and was loved by many. Always in our hearts and never forgotten!
