D'Antona, Rosa

The life journey of Rosa D'Antona ended peacefully on May 4, 2015. Rosa was born to Michele and Mariantonia Portanova on October 18, 1920 in Guardia Lombardi, Italy. She married her beloved husband, Francesco on November 8, 1942. Rosa emigrated to the United States in 1952. She was employed by Kay Chester Factory in Port Chester, NY until her retirement in 1986. Rosa's greatest pleasure was being with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Francesco in 2001. She is survived by her loving children Gaetano D'Antona and wife Luigia, and Helen D'Antona; her brother Carmine Portanova and sister-in-law Felicia; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Angelo and Maria D'Antona; nephews Rocco D'Antona, Frank Portanova, Michael Portanova and his wife Enza and their children Joseph and Nickolas.

Rosa will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visiting is on Tuesday 6-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison, NY. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Lung Association or Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 85 Harrison Street, West Harrison, NY 10604.
