SEAN FLYNN Obituary

Chief Petty Officer Sean Michael Flynn, US Navy Seal, 36, passed away February 1, 2009 in his home. Sean was Born in Suffern, NY and had moved to Virginia Beach in 1997 after joining the US Navy 14 years ago. He was a highly decorated special operations chief who had earned 3 Bronze Stars with Valor and other numerous awards. Sean loved ski diving and was a certified advance freefall instructor, tandem master, and an avid free flyer. Sean is survived by his parents, Eugene and Marianne Flynn of Suffern, NY, a sister Jeanne C. Dutcher, his niece Danielle Dutcher, and great nephew Nicholas of Livingston Manor, NY, his aunts and uncles, Frank G. Walter of Monroe, NY, Ann Martha Walter of Fl. Paul Sullivan of Fl., Randy (Louise) Mayer of Central Valley, NY, Herbert Fred Walter and his wife Janice of Londonderry, NH and Thomas Mayer of Fl., and numerous cousins his girlfriend Molly Tatman of Virginia Beach, good friends, Kari Boone, John Kanasky, Anne Marie Lewis, Ambre Scornavacchi, Billy, Greg, and Sonny, He was pre-deceased by his brother James E. Flynn, his aunt Katherine Sullivan and his grandparents and his cousin Adam Walter. Sean's Memorial Service will be held on March 7, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Scarr Funeral Home Inc Route 202 Suffern. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM before the service.
