SHEILA BERKOWITZ Obituary

Sheila Berkowitz, 67, of Congers, New York, died peacefully with her family at her side on the morning of Friday, April 20, 2007. She was survived by her husband, Raymond of 47 years, her four children; her son, Lewis and daughter-in-law, Annie; her son, Jeffrey and daughter-in-law, Donna; her daughter, Jodi Milani and son-in-law, Jerry Milani, and her daughter Lisa, as well as her seven grandchildren, Michael, Tina, Richie, Toniann, Ashley, and Taylor and Christopher. She was a loving wife, mother, friend and grandmother. Sheila was born in Bronx, New York, August 6, 1939 to Morris and Eva Dolinsky. Sheila graduated from Columbus High School. Sheila and Raymond became residents of Rockland County in 1963. She was a staff reporter for WRKL radio and a sales rep for an art publishing company located in Rockland County. She also had her own clothing business, Ashley's Closet, which specialized in children's clothing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Breast Cnacer and Hospice of Rockland County. Services will be held at Hellman Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 22, 2007, at 1 p.m.
