STANLEY ALOYSIUS MOREHEAD

Stanley Aloysius Morehead passed away on October 26, 2006 at his home in New City. He was born in the Bronx on March 6, 1926 to George and Margaret (McGrugin) Morehead. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He married his wife on May 15, 1955. Stanley moved to New City 48 years ago. Stanley retired in 1985 from N.Y. Telephone Co., Bronx, NY as a Foreman. Stanley loved the NY Mets and the Notre Dame Football Team. He also loved nature walks on the Hudson River. Stanley was devoted to his wife and family. He is survived by his loving wife Teresa (Doris); sons, James and Cynthia of New City, Kevin and Lucille of Highland Mills, NY, Matthew and Helena of Fairhaven, MA, Charles and Lorna of Bridgewater, CT; his daughters, Jane and Joe Brady of Bethel, CT, Patricia and Dan Healy of Bloomingdale, NJ, Mary Morehead of Pomona, NY, Kathleen and Steve Stolarski, Tappan, NY and 24 grandchildren, Keri, Ann, Kate, Ryan and Patrick Brady, Kelly, Erin, Jimmy and Sean Morehead, Christine, Helen, Emma, Joe Morehead, Shannen Healy, Bridget, Angela and John Morehead, Stanley, Madison, Stephen, Christopher and Brian Stolarski and Malachy, Charlie and Benjamin Morehead. He is also survived by his brother William and wife Elaine of Brewster. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. No Evening Hours at Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 am, at St. Augustine's Church, New City, NY. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
