THOMAS J. AMENDOLA

Thomas J. Amendola, 87, longtime resident of Port Chester, passed away April 22 in Margate, FL. A 1937 graduate of PCHS, Tom was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with Bronze Star Attachment for service in the So. Pacific with the 317th TCG from 1942-1945. He married Marge Vaccaro in 1945. A very active member of Corpus Christi Church he was President of The Holy Name Society & The Parish Council. He worked for Dunn&Donnelly in NYC. In 1978 Tom retired to FL. and continued to be active in his church and community, enjoying his game of golf with his buddies, especially when he scored his "Hole-in-One". Tom is survived by his wife Marge, children Tom, Jr. and Martha Magdon, grandchildren Anthony, Michael, and Jennifer.
