I never met Tom in person, but were cousins and spoke on the phone a few times. He very generously shared his research into our family genealogy and his impressions of shared family members. He was a kind and generous man.

I worked in the Hearst Legal Department for 13 years. Tom and I celebrated our birthdays together. We were both trivia fans, so there were always some challenges involved. We both laughed a lot. But what I will remember most is how he always talked lovingly about his family and his faith.

R.I.P., Tom.

For many years Tom and I served as stewards and officers of the Friendly Sons of New York City.

He was a very, very nice person and a good companion.

I always enjoyed his company and the many emails and newspaper clipping he sent me over the years. He was like the brother I never had.

Tom was a fine colleague but also a friend. My wife and I shared many fun occasions with him and Elizabethan and Tom was a great story teller. We will never forget him...because he suggested the perfect "C" for our daughter Caitlin, after A and B were used for her brothers. We share in the grief, but have good memories of him. Tom was a dear colleague but with his wife Elizabeth also a friend for me and my wife, Doris. We shared many fun occasions, always enjoyed each other's company and he is responsible for finding the perfect "C" name for our daughter, Caitlin after A and B were already taken by her brothers. Our deepest condolences to the family. Tom was a wonderful person and always ready to tell Irish stories. We will miss him. Frank and Doris McAnaney

Thinking of you all with love and sympathy as you bury your husband/father/grandfather. I actually only met Tom once when he came to our home with Sally and my father, Chief John J. Cashman (FDNY) after Uncle Ed Cashman's wake. Tom was gathering info that night for "Born Under the Bell," which my branch of the family is in the process of updating now. As he greets all the Kilkenny Brennans in heaven, I'm sure the Cork Cashmans will be right there with them to welcome him home. May God give him rest and give all of you peace.
