Thomas Picone Obituary

Picone, Thomas A.

On December 23, 2014, our father Tom Picone passed away at his home in Roanoke, Virginia with his wife Mary at his side. Born in Italy on December 22, 1926, Tom immigrated to NY at the age of 7. He served in the US Army World War II Allied Occupational Forces and graduated from Fordham University. Tom enjoyed a long and successful career including the ownership of two pharmacies in Katonah and White Plains. He was an avid swimmer, skier, and cyclist. Tom will be sadly missed by his wife Mary; children James (Amy) Maryann (Ted) and Ronald; grandchildren Jessica, Nicole, Kimberley and Danielle; sister Mary Puppo (John); relatives and friends in NY and PEI, Canada. Tom is predeceased by our beloved mother and his wife of 41 years Aletha; sister Ann Palmieri and her husband John. Tom was entombed in Roanoke on January 3, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Anthony's Church in West Harrison on Saturday, April 18 at 11am. Dad you were always there to guide, encourage and defend us. You were our friend, our mentor. We will never forget.
