I met Paul around 2015. We lived around the corner from him. I remember seeing him drive around in the last car he owned before I met him. As the years passed, he told me how he lost his license. I would see him walk to or from Walmart and sometimes he would accept a ride, but not very often. He said he needed the exercise so he kept walking carrying his groceries. He walked his dog at least once a day. We would chat about his businesses, houses he bought, Morocco and his childhood. He told me about his family and how he appreciated them so much, especially his son and sisters that live in Canada. I will miss his smile and his way with words. So long Paul. Art D.

I first met Paul in about 1966 at his house in Vandenberg Village, he was a good friend of my Parents. As I got older our friendship continued when he opened The Hut in Mission Hills where we lived and continued even after I moved to Los Angeles, and I would see him occasionally when I went home. He was always generous and kind to me, and I'll never forget him.
