Thomas Lee Williams

1932 - 2025

Thomas Lee Williams was born in Farrell, Pennsylvania to Frank and Susan Williams (High). Thomas passed peacefully at the age of 92 in Lompoc, Ca., he was the eldest of 4 children. He graduated from Farrell High School and worked briefly in the steel mills in Sharon, Pa, before joining the U. S. Air Force in 1954, specializing in munitions maintenance. His distinguished 26-year military career included assignments in Germany, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, and various U.S. bases. While stationed at Norton Air Force Base in California, he met and married his wife of 65 years Loretta Mae Davis in 1955. Thomas has 5 children, Tommy, Anthony, Michele, Doris and Tiffany, and their family grew to include 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

After retiring honorably from the Air Force Mr. Williams settled in Lompoc Ca. and earned an associate degree from Alan Hancock College. He and his wife were long-time members of True Vine Church going back to the 1970's. He was actively involved in many veterans' and social organizations such as, the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW), Shriners, Masons, Elks and the NAACP, holding various leadership roles.

Mr. Williams was passionate about golf, he played in the snow, rain, sun and whenever he had the chance often competing in tournaments. He introduced golf to his children, his influence sparked interest in golf not only in his children, but also to some of his grand and great grandchildren as well. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and movies-especially westerns, war movies and African historical movies based on the African warrior called Shaka Zulu. His family and friends, knew he also loved to cook and saw himself as a topnotch chef.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Loretta Mae, and his sisters Blanche, Rosetta, and Delores. He is survived by his brothers Robert, and Steven and sister Carol, his children Thomas, Anthony, Michele, Doris, and Tiffany, along with Nephews, Nieces, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Rest well, you will be deeply missed.
