Brian Keith Brobst of Leesburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025.
Brian was born on February 15, 1967 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, son of Barbara Cavanaugh Brobst and the late Keith Edward Brobst. Brian grew up in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley, where he loved the outdoors and spent his time camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, boating, and participating in Scouts and his church youth group. The family moved to Loudoun County, Virginia in his teenage years, where Brian attended Broad Run High School and later the University of Maryland. In 2002, he married his loving wife, Aimee, and went on to have two beloved sons, Carter and Blake.
In his personal life, Brian was loving, enthusiastic, spontaneous, and always up for an adventure, with boundless energy and a wide and diverse social network. Together with family and friends, he was in constant motion, pursuing countless interests and passions. These included frequent trips throughout the country to golf, ski, fish and hunt; attending concerts at Wolf Trap; visiting the beach, wineries and breweries; offering his impressive handyman and construction skills to anyone who needed them; and cheering for his beloved Capitals and Commanders. Above all, Brian loved spending time with Carter and Blake and was highly involved in everything that interested them. Throughout the years, he was a constant supportive figure in their lives. Brian was also a treasured uncle, and made an indelible mark on his nieces and nephews who adored him.
Brian's greatest professional accomplishment over the past 30 years was the strength of the relationships he built with colleagues and peers across the mission critical industry, which he fostered with humility and integrity. He had a rare and cherished gift: the immediate, authentic recall of a person's name and family details, even after only a single meeting. This reflected his sincere respect and genuine interest in every person he met. Brian showed a deep, enduring commitment to Rosendin Electric's employees as an appointed member of the ESOP Board of Trustees and Vice President of the company. A leader in his field, he also served for 15 years as Vice President of the 7x24 Exchange DC Chapter and was a member of the Design-Build Institute of America, AFCOM, and the National Electrical Contractors Association.
Brian leaves behind a profound legacy driven by a commitment to enriching the lives of his family, friends, and his community. His dedication to causes such as the Gary Sinise Foundation, the Navy SEAL Foundation, Boulder Crest, and the
American Heart Association, plus many local human services charities, reflected his compassion for others, and his impact extended to a broad group of friends, associates, and organizations across the country that benefited from his service. Known for his warm personality and generous spirit, Brian had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome. He was the life of the party, a loyal friend, and someone who always showed up for others without fail. He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Brian is survived by his wife, Aimee; his sons, Carter and Blake; his mother, Barbara Brobst; his sister, Pamela Kelleher; his father-in-law, Robert Little; his brothers-in-law, John Kelleher and Josh Little; his sister-in-law, Molly Little; and his beloved nieces and nephews - Megan, Jack, and Connor Kelleher, and Evelyn, Josephine, and James Little. He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Brobst, and his mother-in-law, Marilee Little.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, at 605 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia. Following a private graveside service, Brian will be interred at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Brian's name to Life with Cancer, c/o Inova Health Foundation, 8095 Innovation Park Dr., Fairfax, VA 22031.
