As a judge, I knew Doug on a professional level; and as a parent of a son in Adrian's class, I knew Doug on a more personal level. He made one of the greatest closing arguments I ever witnessed; but his greatest achievment was the love and devotion he gave to Amy and Adrian.

I am very sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of Doug's death. Doug was best man for Ann and Jack at our wedding in 1965 at Gray Hawk Kentucky. We have been friends since high school and attended EKU together. He will be missed by all who knew him. A dear friend whom I greatly admired.

Dear Amy and Adrian,

We have been so sad to hear about your dad's death. We would come to the service but we are suffering from some intestinal flu that makes it unwise for us to travel or to expose others. We hope to see you before too long but please know of our love and concern for both of us as you adjust to life without your dad's physical presence.

Love, Donna and Bob
