I would like to take the time out, to give a great thanks to Mrs. Shively, I never got the time to thank her personally, but i will never forget her teaching me in 7th grade, and her telling me to "rise and shine" when I lost my place. All her little tricks she showed me, I still use to this day in college. She will greatly be missed.

I am a better person because of Mrs. Shively. She was always honest with me and told me what I needed to hear; she was wise, loving, and funny. I sought her council often and her ministry as a mentor has impacted my life greatly. I love you Mrs. Shively...see you soon.

Thank you Mrs. Shively for being who you are, a wonderful teacher who pushed me to dream and to learn. A women who always prayed over her students everyday. My favorite memory is arguing which was a better ship, Voyager or Defiant.

Ms. Hawkins.....was my English teacher through High school (1982) when i was at Evangel - was the only teacher I believe fully prepared me for college. She always cared for her students, looking back I can clearly see her heart of gold. There is no doubt God is well pleased with his servant and celebrations are going on now in Heaven.

I never had the chance to have Mrs. Shively teach me. She was a wonderful person and it was nice to talk to her when I needed someone to talk to when I went to Evangel. I'm glad she is in a better place with God and she's not in anymore pain. Chriatian just hang in there it will get better and always remember the way your mom was before she got sick and all the wonderful memories you have of her.

What a wonderful woman. I remember thinking as a teen that she was so hard on me at times. As an adult I look back and realize what a wondeful woman and teacher she was. Always just trying to do all she could to set us all up for the future. I loved hearing her speak German (makes me smile thinking back about that one) reading through these comments I can't even imagine how proud her family must be to hear all of these wonderful things about such a wonderful woman. God bless you Walter and Chistian.

Mrs Shively has been a mentor to me as long as I have taught at evangel. She always made herself available to the staff and students and always had a great word of wisdom for every situation. She is absolutely the best high school teacher I have ever known. She is totally amazing. I am very proud that I have been able to work for her , and I am grateful for the many years of service she has given

Walter and Christian May God bring you comfort in your memories. What a gift God gave the world when he formed Mrs. Shively. I was in her first Senior sponsored class and it seems like yesterday I was reading Der Kleine Prinz. I have been blessed to have all five of my sons have Mrs. Shively as a teacher. She has left multiple lasting memories for us that we will never forget. Although she is gone SHE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Mrs. Shively has been a blessing to me and my children too many times to count. Her genuine love, the caring and compassion that she gave so freely to the young people God put in her path, will always be treasured by them. She led by example, motivated her students, prayed and counseled them when there was a need, but most importantly, she taught them about Jesus through her love for them. I will always remember her humble spirit and the special way she loved Jesus. She was my "boss" and my "friend" and I will cherish the many times she showed grace to my children, Jerod and Jennifer. My desire was that my grandchildren could have had the same opportunities to be taught by her and loved by her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family for their great loss. Those who knew her, young and old, were blessed. She will be missed!

I am proud to have been a student of Mrs. Shivley. She believed in me and gave me so much - she trusted me with a year book, encouraged our crazy movie making, told me to 'can it' when I was annoying and worked really hard to see us all succeed.

Mrs. Shively made a lasting impact on every student she ever had. As teenagers we did not always see eye to eye with her or understand why she expected so much of us, but growing into adulthood we understand clearly. She set us up to succeed in college and in life. She led by example. What an amazing teacher, mentor and then friend she was to me. I am very thankful I was able to have her as all three. Mrs. Shively will be missed.

Ann, What a legacy you have left us! The kids and co-workers you have touched. The professionalism, the patience , discipline, and longsuffering, guidance, and example you were to all who knew you. It was my priviledge to work with you and to know you as a person. Walter, and Christian, Heaven is a much more familiar place, as our loved ones go on ahead of us. Ann was an exemplary model of Christ's love as she interacted daily with folks. I can still hear her laughter in the offices. She impacted me and my two daughters lives and she will always be remembered as a great woman! God bless you two guys!
