Anthony Summers Obituary
66, passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 28, 2014.
Tony was a retired Master Sgt. E8 in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a beloved coach at St. John Vianney School and devout member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church. He recently retired as a production planner for Linak US.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Mabel Summers; and sister, Pamela Murphy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Karen Bethards Summers; children, Jennifer Summers (Brennan Grayson) and Jeff Summers (Ginger); grandchildren, Christopher, Jaymison, Colton, Jack and Eleanor; siblings, Hobert Jr. (Bobbie), Tim, and Chris Summers (Donna); and sister, Patricia Mahoney (Kenny).
His celebration of life Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, 903 Fairdale Road with a luncheon to follow. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to DeSales HS or Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.

My husband and I met Mr. Summers through his daughter Jen. He was a devoted grandfather and was easy to talk with--sharing stories of fishing with his grandsons and other entertaining tales. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My husband Jim and I first met Tony at Kevin Summers wedding in Hull, MA. We had so much fun with Tony and his family, we invited ourselves to the Kentucky Derby the next year! We were so fortune to have spent that time with his fun loving and gracious family. May all of your happy memories of him keep him forever in your hearts. I know my memories of him will remain one of the nicest times I have known.
