Mrs. Berkley I tried to write something earlier but just could not bring myself to do so at that time. Dayja and myself both have VERY heavy hearts as we JUST learned of the news. Had we known, we definitely would've attended your services. You helped us both so much when we came to Columbus after moving back from Atlanta. I had recently lost my mother and you filled that void as a mother for me and a grandmother for Dayja. Your school groomed a very bright, beautiful young lady. She is in her second year of college and she is studying Early Childhood Education. The seeds you have sewn in our lives will never be replaced! I am glad that God placed you in our lives for that season! We love and miss you more than words can express!

To the Berkley family,
I had the honor to work with Carolyn for the past six years. She is one of the most compassionate, dedicated and caring person that I have ever met. She provided hundreds of children experiences and opportunities that they would have never received at any other school. She was not only a strong leader but a friend with a huge heart. She made the world a better place for children and her staff. She will be sadly missed by the Reynoldsburg City School family. We admire her vision and work. Your family are in our prayers.

I offer my condolences to the Berkley family. I have known Sister Berkley and Morris since I was a young boy and now I am in my forties. I love Morris, Marsha, Crystal and Montana dearly. As you know my family considers you all our family. We will continue to be in prayer for you all. Sister Berkley was a STRONG PRESENCE in her family and in her school. She dedicated her life to love her kids in both settings. I am so sorry to see her go before us. She will be missed. The celebration in this is that Carolyn Berkley left and indelible print in the lives of many people. Thanks family for sharing her with us Morris.

The Family, Friends and Extended A+ Arts Academy "Family" will sorely miss Carolyn, known for having "heart" enough to love all. I had the pleasure of working with Carolyn since nearly the beginning of her school and always marveled at her passion. In our sorrow, may we honor her by continuing the commitment that she has had for her "children". Peace to all...

Morris and Family,
In times like these words are very hard to come by, Carolyn Denise was such a special person, who possessed one of the biggest hearts I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I worked with her at Columbia Gas and felt very close to her, we were like family. I was in a position to watch her work her goodness so many times with so many people. God gave her a power beyond what is normal and she used it to help so many people in so many ways. In the past we have talked, laughed together and cried together, it was easy to do them all with her. She just made you feel like everything is going to be alright. Carolyn now it's your time and from this point on everything is going to be alright, you are with our Father resting in peace. I am going to miss your beautiful smile, and hearty laugh, your way of doing things that only you could do that way. You have been a phenomenal woman of God, I will never forget you, and I will always love and miss you. Fly high my sister you have your beautiful wings now, until we meet again. May the creator of the heaven and earth provide your family and friends with the comfort that they need to deal with this tremendous loss?
