Charles Wethington Obituary
Chuck was born in Huntington, WV, and was a retired employee of Columbia Gas Co. He also worked 17 years at Wal-Mart. A graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Huntington and Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC, he served in the Army and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the 3-M Club; he volunteered at Baptist Hospital East and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Leo Covert, Martha (Marty) Cooper and Mildred Lynn; and a grandson, Damien Wethington.
Survivors include his wife, Marcie Erdlitz Wethington; children, Michael and Robert L. Wethington and Laura A. Bahar (Ali); a sister, Sister Ursula Wethington; four grandchildren, Capt. Brad Wethington, Julia Schenk (Chad), Justin Bahar and Seth Wethington.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, and after 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive, where the funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be later in Huntington.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Belmont Abbey College, St. Michael Church Building Fund, or Hosparus.
