LOUISVILLE - Daniel Lawrence Heck, 63, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 7, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Danny was born on April 16th, 1957, to the late V. James Heck and Mary Nally Heck. He attended St. Agnes, St. X ('75), and Loyola University New Orleans. On September 5th, 2017, he was fortunate to receive the gift of life via lung transplant. His family will be forever grateful for three extra years together, and give special thanks to Tanya & Dr. Baz at the UK Transplant Center for the excellent care Danny received.

Lisa, my thoughts go out to you and your family on your loss of such a special person. Mr. Danny, as he was known, was a one of a kind person. I can never thank him enough for all that he did for my daughter. He was there for her from the day she started work at the daycare until the very end. She spoke very highly of him. Their last conversation is very special to her. He always had her best interest at heart. I can't tell you as a parent how easy he made it for us not to worry about her while she was at work each day. Please rest assured that he will always be with you and us. You now have a special connection to heaven.

What an honor & one of my greatest gift to know Mr. Danny. I have known Lisa for many years and was blessed to come and work at the daycare from May 2019 until March 2020. The kids would all yell out in sequence "hi Mr. Danny " whenever he came around. Monday´s lunch always included his Mac& Cheese. We talked sports and shared many special conversations. He loved Indi´s chicken & going to lake on Friday´s. I found my second profession at the day care. I love this family. I could go on & on about Lisa & Danny a remarkable couple, love for family, friends and the day care. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. My prayers will continue to include blessings for this family. Take your rest Mr. Danny God has earned an Angel.
