Daniel Magera Obituary
62, passed away peacefully Monday, January 2, 2017, with his family at his side after a long battle with cancer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosemary Magera.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julia Batovsky Magera, sisters Barbara Sturgeon (John) and Mary Pat King (David), his brothers Chuck Magera and Pat Magera (Marilyn).
He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and obtained a bachelors in science from Bellarmine University. He leaves a gift of music, which inspired many nieces and nephews, and his belief in the strength from the power of the Word of God.
His visitation will be from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 with a memorial service to follow at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret avenues.

Dan was in some of my classes at St X and at Bellarmine. Outside the classroom our paths never seemed to cross. I still remember, at Bellarmine, that in one of my English classes--the professor-was impressed with a composition that Dan had written. And, he had Dan read his composition out loud. I remember that Dan was a good writer. RIP

Dan was a good friend of mine. I remember his energy and friendship when we were attending Bellarmine College.

Dan and I spent many hours together from our days at St. Agnes, to St. X, and on to Bellarmine. While we lost touch after school, you never lose those early memories. RIP, Danny.
