Dave and I were team mates at

U of L in the late 40's, and we had many enjoyable times. He was a

class act.

May he enjoy his eternal rest and the rewards he has earned.

And Mrs Aspy, may God bless you and

your daughter in yor hour of sorrow.

I knew David in high school, where he was a man when the rest of us were boys. I last saw him about ten years ago, when he had lived a great part of his life and had triumphed over much adversity. We corresponded for a while, and I was struck by his love for his wife, Cheryl, and daughter, Christine. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and his hopes for them were admirable.

David made his significant contribution to humankind. But then, even as a teenager he seemed to know better than the rest of us what really mattered. And he delivered on the promise he showed back then.

He will be much missed.
