Dorothy Harstine Obituary
Louisville - Dorothy Joyce "Joy" Clark Harstine, 86, of Louisville passed away at her residence on June 28, 2021. A native of Louisville, she was born December 20, 1934 to the late John R. and Dorothy M. Schmidt Clark. She earned her Bachelor's of Sociology degree from Spalding University and formerly worked at the Chapel House Assisted Living in Louisville. Joy was Catholic by faith and a member of Epiphany Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Philip William Harstine.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Shane Harstine (Heather); two grandchildren, Braxton and Reese Harstine; two brothers, Dick Clark (Susie), John Clark (Diane), and multiple nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Hosparus of Louisville, the staff of the Atria in Springdale, especially Julie and Sam, and to Joy's personal caregivers, Marianne and Delores.
Funeral Mass for Joy will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, at Epiphany Catholic Church, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road, Louisville, KY 40223 with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. immediately before the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus of Louisville, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Dr., Louisville, KY 40205 or to the Just Faith Organization at Epiphany Catholic Church.

I will miss seeing her in church at Epiphany....she was such a sweet lady always with a smile and a hug...God bless her and her loved ones she will be missed.
