Ernest Simmons Obituary
He was born in Nick, KY to James and Sallie (Hawks) Simmons. Ernest was a retired Field Supervisor with LG & E., with 38 years service. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a faithful member of Campbell's Chapel United Baptist Church.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his loving Wife of 58 years, Ola J. (Elmore) Simmons; his children: Rhonda Logsdon, Philip and Eric Simmons; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his brothers, J.C., James, Lawrence, Bennie and Roy Simmons.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday at Campbell's Chapel United Baptist Church, 2525 Guelat Ave. 40216, with burial to follow in Lone Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will Tuesday 1 - 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at the Church.
