Francis Leo Longaker

LONGAKER, FRANCIS LEO, 88, of Louisville, died Tuesday at his residence, with his family at his side. Frank was a member of Pleasure Ridge Park Community for over 55 years and active in many project, including acquiring the building for Norton Southwest Hospital. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, taking part in many church activities, Jefferson County Republican Party and Lyons Club. He was the owner of La Bell Gallery and the map center. He was known in Louisville as "Mr. Maps". Frank retired in 2004 and was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, the former, Rosalee Riegling; sons, Frank (Judy,) Mike (Rita) and Jeff (Jean) Longaker; daughters, Marilyn Ford, Sharon Crutcher (Shelby) and Mary Rene Cambron; sisters, Mary Mecker and Loretta Richard; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchil-dren. Frank's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 905 Dixie Hwy., with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Hwy. (at Rockford Ln.)
