Gary Clemons Obituary
63, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, July 7 at Jewish Hospital with his family by his side. Originally from Clarkson in Grayson County, Gary began working with computers in high school and finished a career at American Air Filter as an IT specialist after 38 years. He was a generous man who never asked anything for himself, but gave to others without question and adored his family, especially his wife, sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing poker for most of his life and considered his poker friends a second family.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Willard T. "Billy" Clemons. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen Clemons; sons, Jeffrey T (Elisabeth Taylor) and Christopher B. Clemons (Keshia); his grandchildren, Bailey, Tatum and Chloe Watson, Sklar, Vallin and Felix Clemons and Anderson Smith; his mother, Mary Charles Clemons of Clarkson, KY; his brothers, Keith (Martha) of Clarkson, KY, Rick (Pat) of Bonifay, Florida and Jamie Clemons (Sandy) of Caneyville, KY; his wonderful sister Joyce Higdon (Marty) of Leitchfield, KY and many family members who were his brothers or sister by marriage and many nieces and nephews of whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. The funeral mass will take at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

I had the good fortune to work with Gary for 30+ years. It was a joy to work with him. Whenever I wanted or needed anything, Gary would work his computer magic and make it so. Many times he would tell me that something could not be done, yet in a few days Gary would show up at my desk with his ever-present paper tablet and have the solution. Gary's passing is an unspeakable loss to his family, his friends, his coworkers and the company.

Gary was a wonderful man. Talked with him a lot about his wonderful grandchildren and how much he enjoyed Disney World. He will be missed at AAF more than you know. So sorry for your loss.

I worked with Gary for many years I know he will be greatly missed not only by his immediate family but all his family, friends and his work family at AAF International as well.
I worked at AAF and he always was there to help me when I needed his assistance very kind, smart and intelligent.
Gary will be greatly missed.
