Joseph Mitchell

MITCHELL Joseph G. 75 of Bogota died Thursday, December 13, 2007. Before retiring he was a self employed technical engineer for the company he owned and operated, J.G. Mitchell and Associates, Bogota. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of Powers Memorial High School and City College, both in NY, NY. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church, Bogota where he belonged to the Holy Name Society and coached basketball for many years. He was a former athletic director for St. Cecelia's High School, Englewood and he coached with the St. Joseph's Gaelic Athletic Association. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Teaneck and a member of the Bergen Irish. Beloved husband of Nancy. Devoted father of Anne Marie Mitchell, Eileen Theresa Grimes, Joseph Kevin and his wife Lesley, James Michael and his wife Debbiann, John Gerard and his wife Lois and Thomas Gerard and his wife Melanie. Dear brother of Mary Alice McCormick, Margaret Donnelly, Anne Kenny, Agnes Bonanno and the late John. Loving grandfather of Thomas Patrick, Rebecca, Kerianne, John, Joseph, Zachary, Brian, Ian, Nathan, Kaelani and Sara. Funeral from the Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota Tuesday morning at 8:30. Thence to St. Joseph's RC Church where mass will be offered at 9:30. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly. Visiting 7-9pm Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday.
