Jane Ildstad

ILDSTAD, JANE, mother of prominent Louisville researcher Dr. Suzanne Ildstadt, died here peacefully on March 16th, 2006. Mrs. Ildstad was born in Rochester, MN on February 28, 1927. She obtained her RN at St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, and worked as the head orthopedic nurse at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis until joining the household of her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. David J. Tollerud, shortly after the birth of their first child. She was actively engaged in the lives of both her grandchildren, David Tollerud II and Suzy Tollerud, and was affectionately known in the Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania community where they grew up as "the grandmother soccer mom."
