Jerome Bowling Obituary
On July 24, 2016, Angels gently and peacefully carried Jerome Wayne Bowling, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky to heaven where he has no more pain or suffering. Everyone he touched is a better person just for having known him. There will forever be a piece of our hearts that went with him, but we will always have amazing memories of a truly wonderful, selfless, fun-loving man who cherished his wife, family, and many friends. Jerry was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Kentucky Wildcats. He never took the small pleasures in life for granted. He found great joy and happiness in everything, from taking vacations with his wife, Linda, to spending afternoons with his grandchildren at Churchill Downs and evenings playing cards with friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph and Helen Kost Bowling. He is survived by his wife, Linda Pendleton Bowling; daughters, Gina Rice and Lisa End (William); son, Brian Short (Kelly); grandchildren, Ashley Riesel (Robert), Jacob Rice (Cassie), Lindsay End, Jared End, Emily End, Aidan Short, Evan Short; brother, David Bowling (Joan); sister, Nancy Fezzi (Ray); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd., Louisville, Kentucky on Thursday, July 28thfrom 2-8 p.m. A mass will be celebrated at St. Edward Catholic Church, 9608 Sue Helen Dr., Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, July, 29th at 10:00 a.m.
