Jerry has slipped the surly bonds of earth but will remain now on laughter-silvered wing to me. He has been a man who inspired others to live life through his love of aviation and he always will continue to do so though his legacy.

Dear Givens Family,

Jerry was a wonderful and loving friend to all - he will be greatly missed... his memory will remain strong in all who knew him... it was just yesterday he was cruising through the t-hangars onto the ramp on his motorcycle - pulling the seaplane out - for him his ride was as important as the destination...

Sending lots of love and prayers, Love, Laura

I actually had the honor of flying up front with Jerry on a few occasions (with Trilogy). He was always so gracious and answered questions and let me listen in to the air traffic - such a cool experience. Amy & Jeremy, I don't think there was a time that I was around your Dad that he didn't mention you both and he was so proud of you. Around Trilogy, he was fondly known as "Jerry Air" - there will never be another. He always gave us a smooth landing. We are all thinking about you in this great time of loss and feeling your pain.
