GIVENS, JERRY WAYNE, 64, of Louisville, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 in his home.
He was a wonderful son, father, friend, husband, and grandfather who will be deeply missed. Jerry lived life to the fullest. He is known for the annual St. Patrick's dinners he cooked at the Aero Club, his love of sunsets at Nolin Lake, his ability to fix almost anything for family and friends, and his wonderful smile. He has been flying out of Bowman Field since 1966, and was a Corporate Pilot for Trilogy Health Services and Cutting Tools, Inc. He owned Jackson TV for many years and has been a long-time resident of the Highlands, a neighborhood he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Givens. He is survived by his wife, Dee (Dorothy, nee Cambron); his children, Amy (Manny Miravete) and Jeremy (Kelly); his step-daughter, Amy Gadansky; his beautiful grandchildren, Sophia, Emma, Julian, Olivia and soon to be born, Charles; his mother, Lois Givens; his sisters, Tammy Grant and Brenda Jenkins; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Highlands Funeral Home with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013.
