JoAnn Willinghurst

Louisville - JoAnn Willinghurst, 86, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 23, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born April 3, 1935 in Bethlehem, KY, a daughter of the late John Forest Speed and Marie Adam Speed.

She was first and foremost a homemaker all her life, and had attended St. Helen Catholic Church (now Mary Queen of Peace).

Besides her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, LeRoy J. Willinghurst, and her brother, William Speed.

She is survived by her two daughters, Maureen W. Rogg (husband Matthew) and Carla M. Logan (husband Dennis); four grandchildren, Meghan Cathey, Nicholas Rogg, Heather Lohuis (Matt) and Shelby Logan; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Levi.

Visitation will be held at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road on Monday, June 28th from 2-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 29th at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the donor's favorite charity in memory of JoAnn. Online condolences may be shared at www.ratterman.com.

Aunt JoAnn was a wonderful aunt, she was always loving to me. She was a wonderful lady. I am going to miss her, may God take care of the family. We love you. We will see you on Monday.
