John Robinson Obituary
John was born September 4, 1928 in Louisville to Joseph and Lula Mae Robinson.
After 32 years of service John retired as executive director of the Home Builders Association of Louisville, also John was president of the Executive Officer's Counsel of the National Association of Home Builders. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Royal Order of Jesters and the Kosair Shrine, and Owl Creek Country Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Gloria Jean Robinson; his two daughters Sherri Brennaman of Cincinnati, OH and Kyle Robinson of Louisville; his granddaughter Ashley Shirley (James); great-grandsons Aidan Shirley and Tanner Shirley; sister Pat Eckerle and a nephew David Boyles (Debbie).
Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Pearson's 149 Breckenridge Lane with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. on Thursday.

I have many fond memories of childhood visits with Mr. and Mrs. Robinson at their home and various home builder's events with my parents, John and Patricia Montgomery. My deepest sympathies to all of you.

I met Mr. Robinson in the early eighties through his
daughter and my dear friend Kyle. Always a gentleman, a great father and a loving partner to his wife. I struggle with not being able to attend the funeral due to professional obligations. I am planning on a weekend visit with the family in two weeks. Sending love and prayers to Robinson family.

Met Mr. Robinson in 1976,later doing phone work while with AT&T(put first phone system in home)and LHBA office, and for the last 20 years catering, smoking meats for his family and friends, always would shoot me straight and offer sound advice. Prayers to his wonderful wife and family he will be missed but never forgotten. RIP Mr. Robinson

John was my mentor, my best friend and my role model for over forty years. I will miss him terribly. He leaves many great memories for hundreds of people who knew and loved him. May God accept his soul to everlasting peace.
