John Shanahan Obituary

SELLERSBURG SHANAHAN, JOHN E. "JACK" III, 61, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Clark Memorial Hospital. He managed the Business Development Division for the Huelsman - Sweeney Co. He was also an Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War; and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include: a daughter, Meaghan Shanahan of Sellersburg, IN; a brother, Michael J. Shanahan of Naperville, IL; three sisters, Jeri Shanahan of Orland Park, IL, Mary Shanahan- Fosse (Clifford) of Naperville, IL, and Kathryn Shanahan-Gentile (Duke) of Palos Hills, IL. Funeral services: 3 p.m. Sunday at Garr Funeral Home. Visitation: after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions: Meaghan Shanahan College Fund in c/o the funeral home.

We want to express our sympathy to Jack's family. We only knew him as a neighbor who was always friendly and always outside working in his yard. In offering to help him this past summer, he wanted to try to do things himself. He will be missed.
