Julia Stone Obituary

Julia L. Stone, 76, of Louisville, died Saturday, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. She was a native of Commerce, GA, a retired unit secretary for University of Louisville Hospital and a member of Greater Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Edna F. Effinger (Michael); two sons, Carl E. White (Lorrie) and Thomas H. Pierce; one brother, Horace Stone; one goddaughter, Tangy Hunter; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 2325 Osage Ave., with burial in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at W.P. Porter Mortuary, 2611 Virginia Ave.
