Kelley Nichols Obituary
A native of Spencer County, he was the son of the late John Will and Dorothy Cook Nichols. Graduating from Waddy High School in 1959, Mr. Nichols was a farmer and also retired from the USDA Federal Crop Insurance. He was a member of Shelby Christian Church, and he and his family have owned Flowers by Sharon for over 37 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Yount Nichols; two sons, Tony Nichols (Katherine) and Jason Nichols (Amanda), both of Shelbyville; four grandsons, Colton Nichols of Sellersburg, IN and Cody Nichols, Jordan Nichols and Trenton Claycomb, all of Shelbyville; one granddaughter, Brittney Claycomb of Shelbyville; four sisters, Norma Mustian (David) of Wilson, NC and Rita Waits (Don), Donna Reffit (Merle) and Sandra Barnett (Ralph), all of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Shelby Christian Church, Shelbyville with Reverend William H. Brumley and Reverend Dave Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Shelby Christian Church from 1-9 p.m. Thursday and after 11 a.m. Friday. Hall-Taylor Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus.
