My heart goes out to all the family, and, pets. My father was murdered, on 05/23/8, case not solved yet, his murder case was on unsolved mysteries, many years ago. My only and oldest brother has been in heaven for over 19 years. My mother has been in heaven over 8 years. My twin sister, and, I, and, my younger sister know that we will see our mom & dad, and, brother in heaven someday. Remember all the fun, happy, priceless memories. God Bless Us All! I am so sorry about the loss of your father. You never really know what to say when these things happen, but what I will say is that I ran into your dad about 2 years ago and the one thing I remember was how proud he was of each of you when I was asking how you all were doing. You all are so lucky to have such a loving father. This has been such a bittersweet year and you all have been through so much - but it is times like these that make a family stronger. And always remember you have so many friends that are thinking of you at this moment and are there for you if you need anything.

I watch the Birkhead family on T.V.this year when LARRY JR took Dannielynn home. You should be very proud of your Family. Your father eyes lit up when he held her. My heart goes out to you as you deal with the loss of your father/husband/grandfather. I never knew Mr. Birkhead, but I know some of his children, and know that he was a wall of strength and support for them. Be strong in this time, and know that he is watching over you. This year has been an especially grueling and traumatic one,with several losses, and I can only imagine how hard this time is for the family. Take heart and know that "to everything there is a season". As you were a comfort to your father, so your children will be for you. You will be in my prayers.

Donna and all of Larry's children - I cannot begin to describe how much love we have for Larry. He is the reason I go on golf junkets today. He was my roomate in South Carolina just a few years ago and what a wonderful time we had. He and Donna were our 'lake buds' and we never pass a lake without saying, "Hey baby, it's Larry." We loved spending time with them and will always cherish the laughs and great times. He was a WONDERFUL, KIND, and TOTALLY GIVING person that we were blessed to call a dear friend. We miss you Larry!!

Sherry and Judy,
My sympathy and prayers are with you during this time with the loss of your brother, Larry. I remember him from when we were children. I lost my brother, Cecil, back in 1997. It was very painful and I still miss him to this day.
All of us grew up together in school and in church. I remember spending the night at your home, Sherry,when we were kids.
My sympathy also goes to Larry and Louis as well as all the family. I remember them as school mates of my son, Todd Young, and my nephew, Jason Franklin at Kenwood Elementary many years ago. Todd also went to school at Fern Creek when Judy was principal there.
It is never easy to say goodbye to those we love. We have to believe we will see them again.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I never had the priviledge of meeting any of Larry's children, but I know their pain of losing a parent suddenly and will hold them in my prayers.
Donna, you hang in there girl!! He will surely be missed by his friends at Nolin Lake. Hopefully from his vantage point now he can let us know if there really are any fish in that hole!! If you need a friend this summer, stop on by the house or we can take a boat ride.
