Linda and Gitch Eisele 1951

Linda and I were the same age and neighbors and you could say we grew up together. I have included a photo of Linda and myself taken in 1951-52 with my cat and one of her kittens. Needless to say she was my first girlfriend although from a distance, a condition I suffered from all through our 12 years at Eden. I remember her soft voiced and sharing reading space in her fathers pharmacy by the magazine rack. Me reading my Sargent Rock and Linda her romance comics. Linda was always a graceful and beautiful person and I chose to remember her as she was in this photo. Sweet and full of the promise of a wonderful life to come. She brought great joy to the people around her and will be missed by us all.
God speed Linda.

Gretchen,
All of us from the Eden Central High School Class of 1965 share your burden of sorrow in the loss of your mom. She fought a long, hard fight with dignity and determination. We know that, as your mom, she holds a special place in your heart that no one can replace. Please know that she holds a place in our hearts also - as a Friend and Classmate who was loved by us all. Our "Class of '65 Connection" is enduring and Linda will always be a special part of that. Each of us in the class have wonderful memories of Linda in the 13 school years that we spent with her. We will cherish those memories always. Our prayers are with you and your family. Dave Gehl for the Eden Central High School Class of 1965

Oh Gretchen, I am so sorry. Your mom was a strong and determined woman who taught me a great lesson in life. It was to never give up in times of adversity. Love you so much
and I miss you.

Linda came to stay with us for a week to visit with Gretchen during the time I was married to her father. Needless to say, it seems unusual to have a previous wife for a visit, but Gretchen was lonely for her mom, and Linda was missing Gretchen, so we planned a visit. Linda was a charming, beautiful soul, and our time together was wonderful. I hope in this time of grief that Gretchen can remember the sweet serenity that her mother possessed, and now she can fly with the angels.

Linda was my classmate from 6th grade thru HS at Eden Central in WNY. I was a new kid to Eden in 6th and Linda sat behind me by a few desks. She was so beautiful at 10 or 11 yrs old I couldn't take my eyes off of her for what seemed like years. She was a sweet and very classy girl. Lost track of her as school years marched on, and was very sad to learn she developed MS. She had a long battle, and now she is at peace. All my love to her family, and I am very sorry for your loss. Peace.
