Dear Mrs. Clark:
I met Lysa when she was with Dr. Dwyer and I was with Dr. Burnam. We kept in touch through all the years that have gone by, through Christmas cards, meeting at restaurants and at UofL games. Throughout her life, Lysa was an inspiration, accepting things she could not change but showing hope and perseverance to make the most out of what she was given.
This must have been learned from you and her father. Courage and hope are two of the most important elements for a good life and it appears that Lysa had both. This was a wonderful gift you gave her.
My husband,George, and I extend our heartfelt sympathy to you and Jim in Lysa's passing at this early age. Rest assured, the way Lysa lived, enjoying the good things life could offer and holding fast to her religious beliefs impacted those who knew her. I will treasure her memory.

My deepest sympathies. Lysa was a wonderful person. The UofL basketball games will be extra special with an angel like her watching with us.

Lysa was always a good and kind friend to us and to our family. She was a great example to both of us and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Our hearts go out to Peg and her family. Her beautiful voice will now be added to those of the angels in heaven. Her kindness and grace will be remembered by her Christian family. She was truly a great woman of faith.

Lysa was such a special person who loved the Lord and her church more than anything. In my two years as her minister, there was not a sweeter person in our church than Lysa. Our hearts are saddened by this loss but we rejoice that she is free from pain and has taken up her citizenship in heaven. The thing that will stick with me about Lysa is the amazing way that she handled her cancer. She never complained. She fought against is much longer than the doctors predicted. I know her father, Taylor, is thrilled at seeing his little girl walking through those gates in heaven.
