I wish I was not writing this at this time. I so wish God had given her more days on this earth. What a sweet lady and awesome teacher. She taught me how to type, and was always so encouraging. WD, I love you very much. My mom just loved you and Mrs. Burden so much. God Bless and be with your entire family at this time. I wish I could have made it to honor her in person.

Greg, Melanie and I are so sorry to hear of Mae's passing. We met Mae and W.D. for the first time when we were in Greensberg for cousin Jane's 80th birthday party. W.D., you were wonderful to show us our family cemetary that you had cleaned up so well, you invited us into your beautiful home out there, and taught Greg how to divine! It was a wonderful weekend. I'm glad I got to meet Mae. Take Care.

W.D.(Love you), Andy, Troy, Jamie (Love all of you and your families):

Ike and I are flooded with memories of little boys growing up in our church, their school activies, prom's, graduations, and then becoming fine citizens living their christian lives as they nutured their own families in adulthood.

Both of you were always there--involved in their lives as they grew into various stages, being helpmates to each other as well as everyone you touched in all your activities.

Mae was always with me during my 22 years of teaching at LaRue County and will always be with me in a special place in my heart.

Your influence in others lives is a living testimony of your Christian faith. Well done faithful servant!

Mra. Burden taught me to Type my Junior Year. She was a sweet lady and if you was not looking at the book and you was looking at the typewriter she corrected you instantly. God Bless your family at this time of sympathy.

Mrs. Burden was taught me to type at LaRue County High and she was always so sweet. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time. I know exactly how you are feeling as we lost our mother just a couple of weeks ago on April 2. She will be greatly missed by the entire community.

Mae Baby...(Darriel's name for you on campus and it stuck!)My special roommate in so many ways.So many good times together even when we moved to FL and returned home with a coach full of FL tourists.Upon our entering the gate to the park to see A.Lincoln's birthplace, there you and WD sat with big signs of welcome and goodies for all. Then recently, being able to celebrate yours and WD's 51st anniversary with you in FL at a Destin luncheon. There will always be love in our hearts for you and your family. We love all of you!
