Mary Novella Sipes

Shively - Mary Novella (Edwards) Sipes, 91, formerly of Shively, KY, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019. After her husband's death in 2015 she moved to Colonial Gardens in Florence, KY.

Mary was a native of White Run, KY, devoted member of Shively Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. She had retired from Brown & Williamson after 20 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jessie E. Sipes; parents, Verna (Green) & Arnett Edwards; two sisters, Martyne Fulkerson & Mildred Edwards; a brother, Charles Edwards.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Breitholle; a brother, Robert Edwards; two grandchildren, Deidre Giles (Ryan) & Eric Breitholle (Jessica); five great grandchildren, Landon, Reece, Caleb, Andrew & Enzo.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 3PM - 8PM Thursday.
