Maxine Ricks Obituary
She was born in Long Beach, CA, the daughter of the late Olena and Anthony Olson of Buena Park, CA.
Max graduated from the University of California, Berkley. After marrying John in 1950, they moved to Japan and spent a lifetime raising her family overseas and traveling the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest son Jake Ricks.
Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years, John H. Ricks; her children, Ann Case, Thomas Ricks (Susan), and Peter Ricks (Sil); and grandchildren, Morgan Baker, Rusty Barker, Elizabeth Ricks, Andrew Ricks, and Daniel Chung.
Her memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, 6701 Wolf Pen Branch Road.
Pearson's entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army.
