Michael Cahill Obituary
Mike retired from medical sales after 40 years of service, attended St. Martha Catholic Church, and was a member of the St. Xavier Sports Hall of Fame and the Virginia Tech Monogram Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John M. and Eleanor (Miller) Cahill; a sister, Carol Vandeveer; and an aunt, Orpha Hellmann.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Brown Cahill; children, Mike Cahill (Cathy), Shelly Ising (Bill) and John Cahill (Brooke); a brother, John R. Cahill as well as his grandchildren, Michael, Ellie, Brad, Madeline and Hank.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane. The family has requested cremation to follow the Mass. Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
Donations may be made, in his memory, to St. Martha Church or Kentucky Special Olympics, 1230 Liberty Bank Lane, Ste. 140, Louisville, KY 40222.

Judy and family,
Mike and I worked together at Attends Healthcare Products. I had the up most respect for him as did all the distributors and sales people he worked with in the industry. He will truly be missed.

I wanted to tell you all how much I love you all and how sorry I am for your loss. To say Uncle Mike was a wonderful man doesn't describe the person he was. I bet he got a warm welcome in Heaven from everyone already there. Keep his memories with you always.

Mike called on our company in Lexington for many years (25+) for several companies and became a friend to all here and much more than a supplier. Judy and family--We were so privileged to spend time with you and Mike last September in Ireland. We enjoyed your company so much, and we are so fortunate that we were able to meet you both. We were so sorry to hear about Mike. We will remember him so fondly and his devotion to you and to Virginia Tech. He was a wonderful man who left the world a better place, simply because he walked upon it.
