Michael Lanham Obituary
He was a native of Jefferson County, KY, a self employed businessman and owner of Barley Creek Enterprise in Bullitt Co., KY. He was a lifetime member of the Louisville Motorcycle club, a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and participated in the Battle of the Bay of Pigs during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Lebanon Junction, an avid volunteer with HIPO Therapy for special needs children and troubled youth. He was also active in the Foreign Exchange Student Program.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lanham and Violet Bickett; and one brother, Freddie Lanham.
Survivors include his wife, the former Katie Ellen Stamper of Lebanon Junction; one son, Michael William Lanham II; two brothers, Charles "Chick" Lanham (Kathy) and Joseph Lanham (Bonnie), both of Louisville, KY.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, October 16th at Faith Assembly of God Church, Lebanon Junction, KY with Pastor Mike Rodgers and Rev. Ray Hayes officiating. Burial in KY Veterans Cemetery, Central, Radcliff. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Kappel Funeral Home, Lebanon Junction and after 9 a.m. on Friday at his church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus.

Papa Mike, was my god father. He helped me and my family so much. My dad worked for mike at barly creek.
