Dear Lisa, Kevin and Matt
Lisa, we will forever be grateful that you brought Paul into our lives. You and I worked together and became so good of friends that you and Paul were married exactly 1 week before Pete and I, and you came back from your honeymoon early just to be at our Wedding. Through our friendship and our starting our families Paul began his weekly Poker games, we brought Barbara and Danny in as a young couple and then Paul started the Derby Parties. He always said it was because we couldn't afford to go out and do other things but, I believe that he just wanted to be with his family and friends more than anything else. Paul was very proud of Family and Friends. I know we kind of drifted apart as our boys started to grow and become interest in different sports and going their own ways. It was hard to find the time to do things together any longer. We still enjoyed the one time a year we all got together for Derby. We missed it this year and we are both truely sad and sorry for this as it would have been the last time we all got together. I know Paul would be so very proud of you Kevin and Matt of how you have stood by your Mother through all of this and been so strong. We will pray for you all and please call if you need anything. We love you, Nancy, Pete, Steven and Cody Jaggers.

To the Hulsman Family, oh the memories with your family in so many aspects of my childhood. There's not enough room here to express the gift of friends I've had since 1st grade. A lot of special people in my life lived on Texas Ave and they all liked to swing on the front porch. Paul always chatted with me whether I was walking, driving, or escorting a kid on a bike past his house. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be at the funeral home. Love and Peace to everyone in Paul's family.

Lisa, Kevin, Matt, Helen, Frank, Charles, Ruth, and Janet -
What a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend Paul was. I was very much saddened by his death, and more so, because I couldn't come in town that weekend for the wake due to my schedule here. The Hulsman family has always been a second family to me, and Paul in particular, a good friend and brother. We have all been touched and blessed to have known him. Be assured of my continued prayers and support in the days ahead.

Lisa,
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Paul's passing. Although I never met him, I sure heard plenty of stories at the lunch table. He sounded like a fun loving, wonderful husband and father. I couldn't make it to the funeral home, but I was sure that if anyone could understand baseball commitments, it would be you. Know that my heart was there and continues to be with you.

Brother Paul,
What a friend you have been to me and my family. I feel blessed to have known you. Everything in my whole life involves you in someway. All the way back to the boy scouts, through high school and when you hired me at Transit. You were afraid to hire friends because you were afraid it would ruin the friendship, but what a great friend you became. I want to thank you for all the wonderful memories and for your part in helping me to become the person I am. I have never been more proud to call someone a friend as I have you. I will miss you so much. I will just have to wait until we meet again to hear my wonderful friend say who loves you baby and I look forward to when I can say I hope you do......
I love you always, your brother from another mother. Albert D. linkenberg

GERMANTOWN! ballpark or St. X baseball days we will cherish all the good times. Our thoughts and prayers will forever be with you. God bless you and help you find peace in the days ahead.

Dear Lisa, Kevin and Matt,

It doesn't quite seem real. And I am so sorry that Abbey, Joey and I are not there right now. I know that her Uncle Paul would want her to be here playing her hardest at the National Championships, and she has already told me that she is trying to win it for him. In fact...she was put in to serve yesterday when our team was down game point 24-22. She served four straight aces to win the game 26-24. I know without a doubt that her Uncle Paul was there giving her that courage. I so loved how Paul was so supportive of the kids and their athletics..coming out to watch and cheer them on. I wanted you to know that you and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers every day.

Joey was so grateful to have shared his "baseball time" with his Uncle Paul. I'm so happy they had that time together. And he loves Kevin and Matt so much...and he has told me that he is sad for them too.

It is so hard to be away from all of you right now...I want so badly to give you all a hug. How lucky we all were to have known Paul. I'll never forget the first time I met him. He told me to run as fast as I could away from this crazy family. And then smiled, laughed and gave me a big hug. That was him...a big smile and open arms.

And I'm so glad we lived so close and that Joe could see him so often...I know the love, friendship, guidance, and support that Paul gave Joe will be missed by him, but never forgotten.

I'll always picture him on the front porch as we drive by. I'm sure he's sitting up in Heaven right now, visiting with everyone he knows, waving to people as they go by, and keeping an eye on us down here.

We love you all, and will see you soon.

We met Paul through his sister Ruth (Hulsman)Staples. He was so kind and always had a smile on his face and a story to share. His obvious love for baseball and family just drew us to him. Lisa, Kevin, and Matt,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Paul was always a great friend to me. I regret that I didn't see him much lately. I'll always remember fondly the fun we had working at the bingo and the picnic. He made working at St. Elizabeth fun. He always made me feel like I was an important cog for the picnic and bingo successes. That will be his legacy, the way he made everyone feel so needed and irreplaceable. I'm sure he's already running the bingo in heaven and making it's picnic better. I love him and all of you very much. Peace.

To the Family,
I only knew Paul through Business. I got to know him the first week he started for Stanley Brothers. He was like a sponge trying to learn everything he could about the Produce business. My favorite quote of his during that timeframe was; " This sure is different than working on cars!" He worked very hard to supply my Company with what we needed. He succeeded at being 'One of the Best' I have ever worked with!
His dedication to his family was legendary. Paul's Integrity, Honesty, and Respect for others was Second to None!
Think about this; Things must be getting pretty bad for God to have pulled him early for recruitment into his 'Army of Angels'!
