Paul Wight Obituary

WIGHT, PAUL JOSEPH SR., 92, of Louisville, passed away August 3,2010 at his residence.

He was a member of St. Leonard Catholic Church, graduated from St. Xavier in 1935, was a realtor for 60 years and was a lifelong fan of Thoroughbred Racing and Churchill Downs.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Annabelle.

He is survived by a son, Joe Wight; daughters, Mary B. Wight and Sue Ann Wight; grandchildren, Alex Smith (Keith), Jason Locke (Mindy) and Kelly Zeller (Rob); great grandchildren Lauren and Morgan Locke and McKenna Zeller; and nephews, James and Tony Wight.

His funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at his church, 440 Zorn Ave.

The family would like to give a special thanks to James Eddison and his family for all of their caregiving. Arrangements entrusted to Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his name may go to Summit Academy or Hosparus.

Dear Joe and Family.
I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear of the loss of your dad. As you may or may not know we were born on the same day, November 18th 1917 and have been friends since our years at St.X, and had many good times together.He will surely be missed by this old friend.I do not get very far but if I can do anything let me know.
