Richard Warren Obituary

Richard C. Warren

Prospect, KY and Venice, FL - Richard C. Warren, 78, completed his journey on earth on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Rick was born in Ft. Jackson, SC on October 9, 1942, to Richard and Lessie Warren. He spent his high school and college years in Wisconsin, graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1965. In 1973, he and his brother, Ron, founded MPI Printing in Louisville. The second generation is now running the family business. Rick's zest for life included his love for boating and sailing. He enjoyed snow skiing and rarely missed an opportunity to ski out west, even when he got two new knees. Rick liked to take meticulous care of his home and yard and enjoyed having a second home in FL to work on. And winters in FL were great for his golf game! Rick had a can-do attitude and was always willing to help a friend or stranger, especially if it involved a phone call to make connections.

Rick is predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, MaryAnn "Mousse" Warren. Rick is also survived by his brothers Ron (Carol) and Ray (Dawna), children Wendy Dumoulin (Mark) and Brad (Betsy), as well as the four grandchildren he was so proud of: Jonathon and Katie Dumoulin and Andrew and Riley Warren. He was also fond of his nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to GRRAND Golden Retriever Rescue to honor the many dogs Rick cherished over the years including his own golden, Scout, who will miss his golf cart rides. Or to The de Paul School which made a huge difference in the Warren family and where Rick served on the board of directors.

Rick had chosen cremation and the family has now set the details for the celebration of life.

We will celebrate Rick on Sunday, May 16, 2021, starting with a private service at Pewee Valley Presbyterian Church. We will then have an open Celebration of Life at Hunting Creek Country Club, Prospect, KY from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Please wear casual/golf attire and come with a memory or picture and a festive attitude.

In life, if we are fortunate, we spend time with someone as charming, funny, witty and bright as Rick. He always made me laugh. He was one of the rare ones who always had a twinkle in his eye. Our Nevel golf group will miss him badly. Our hearts go out to Mousse and all his family.
