Robert B. Elliot

WESTPORT -- Robert B. Elliott, 84, died Wednesday, October 22, 2003, at the Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, IN. He was born October 25, 1918, in Columbus, IN, to the late Charles D. and Daisy (Daily) Elliott. He was raised in Grammar, IN, and resided in the Sardinia (IN) Community since 1960. He graduated from Columbus High School and was a well-known feeder pig dealer in Sardinia and southern Indiana for over 40 years. He married Virginia E. Bishop on January 17, 1941, in Indianapolis, IN. She preceded him in death on September 23, 1997. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Velma Sutton. Survivors include two sons, Bob Elliott and Jim Ledford, both of Seymour; nine grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial was in Vernon Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.bassgasper.com.
